The main principle of the Holodeck SMP administration User Interface is that data is entered just once and re-used when needed. This not only reduces the amount of work, but also reduces the risk of configuration errors.
From this principle follows a basic workflow of managing the data, from more generic to participant specific configuration.
The steps of the workflow are:
- Configure the basic settings of the SMP itself like the certificate to be used for signing the responses to queries and if the SMP is used in the Peppol network, the integration with the SML.
- Configure the supported Identifier Schemes, Transport Profiles, Processes and Services.
- Configure the Endpoints.
- Create the Service Metadata Templates.
- Create the Participants and bindings to one or more Service Metadata Templates.
